HOW DO FAMILIES APPLY?

To assure the neediest families receive the most funding first, (as funds are not, yet, unlimited), parents or an appointed family representative will be asked to submit the following: written request to receive funding; a recent check stub or proof of financial hardship whereas one receives stipends such as SNAP and/or Cash Aid, WIC, Crystal Stairs, or school enrollment of one or both parents, invoice or estimate of costs from mortuary/ cemetery of choice (Including desired burial device, casket or urn.), and direct contact of service provider where funds can be submitted. Please note, financial hardship is not mandatory to receive funding, however in the event more than one family applies for funds at the same time, the neediest family will likely receive the largest disbursement depending on availability of funding. Families are asked to submit all documentation as quickly as possible to complete processing. Email: IceCreamForBunny@gmail.com

WHO CAN APPLY?

Southern California residents, who have experienced Perinatal or Neonatal Loss and are unable to cover the costs of mortuary and burial for their loved one.

Fetal demise must have occurred within 2 months of application. Neonatal demise is awarded to families of children less than 30 days old no more than 6 weeks after loss.

HOW ARE FUNDS DISBURSED?

At this time, funds will be disbursed on a first come first served basis. Funds will be paid directly to mortuary, cemetery, and/or servicing company on behalf of the awarded family.

*Families may be reimbursed for all or part of their out of pocket costs provided there are no current applicants. In addition to all other required documentation, receipts of payments made must be submitted for reimbursement consideration.
